New Case Series Shows LithiX HC-IVL Performs Well in Severely Calcified Lesions

Two-center case series in JACC: Advances on LithiX HC-IVL in severely calcified coronary lesions.

The case series focused on 16 patients with severely calcified de novo coronary lesions. In more than 60 percent, circumferential calcium exceeded 180 degrees, a particularly challenging starting point for stent implantation.[1] Before and after lesion preparation, OCT imaging documented visible calcium fractures and favorable stent expansion, indicative of effective acute calcium modification.[1]

The result: a 93.8 percent technical success rate, 100 percent procedural success, and no major complications.[1]

This case series is a strong example of how LithiX HC-IVL performs in everyday practice, even in technically demanding calcified lesions.
